He is an LL.B Honours graduate from University of London, England and was called to the Malaysian Bar in  1999.  He is primarily involved in both Conveyancing and Corporate Banking documentation, and he has extensive experience in the Banking and Finance area of practice.

In addition, he has also practiced as a Civil Litigation Lawyer in particular the areas of Banking and Finance debt recovery.

Another area of practice involves Project Financing including planning, funding, advisory and documentation.  Lim Chai Loy's expertise and advise is being sought to secure land for housing projects through his considerable network.

Furthermore, his expertise is being sought by investors to advise them in the negotiations and documentation of business joint ventures with State Authorities.
